Makalu to Everest Via 3 cols Trek is one of the most challenging treks in the Himalayas. We will cross several high passes in which two of them are above 6,000 meters above. The trek will allow us to traverse between the Makalu and Everest range. Makalu is one of the rarely visited trails of the Himalayas which makes the region raw and authentic. All the part of the trail will not include tea house or lodge and we will be camping and cooking by ourselves for several days. The trail will include numerous steep ascends & descends, rugged & rocky paths, gorgeous glaciers & glacial lake, pristine rivers, dense forest of rhododendron, pine & fir lovely small villages. We will get to see panoramic views of mountains like Mt. Everest (8,848 m), Mt. Makalu (8,481 m), Mt. Lhotse (8,516 m), Island Peak (6,189 m), Mt. Nuptse (7,861 m), Ama Dablam (6,812 m), and several other mountains. Moreover, the Makalu Barun region is one of the protected region of Nepal which is habitat to around 3000 species of flowering plants including varieties of Himalayan Orchids. The region also includes 75 species of mammals and 440 species of birds. We may get to see wildlife like clouded leopard, musk deer, and Asian golden cat.

Day to Day Itinerary
Day 01Flight Kathmandu - Tumlingtar, drive to Chiuribas (east of Num) 8 hrs
We will take a flight to Tumlingtar from Kathmandu. The flight will be scenic, and upon reaching Tumlingtar, we will begin our drive towards Chiuribas. On the way, we will go through small settlements and reach Chiuribas where we will stay for the night.
Day 02Chiuribas (1800 m) - Seduwa (1500 m) 5 hrs
After having breakfast, we will begin trekking towards Seduwa. The trail will easy yet tiring. On the way, we will go through small villages and forested trail. Upon reaching Seduwa, we will rest for the day and prepare for the next day.
Day 03Seduwa (1500 m) - Tashigoan (2100 m) 7 hrs
We will ascend to a ridge bounded by the Ipsuwa Khola on the west and Kasuwa Khola on the east. Further, we will go through small villages and paddy fields to reach lovely Tashigaon village. We will get to see stunning views of Himalayas all around us, and stay overnight in Tashigaon.
Day 04Tashigoan (2100 m) - Kongma Danda (3500 m) 7 hrs
Day 05Rest and acclimatization day Kongma Danda (3500 m)
Day 06Kongma Danda (3500 m) - Debotay (3650m) via Tutu La/Shipton's Pass (4125 m) 8 hrs
Day 07Debotay (3650 m) - Yangle Kharka (3557 m) 5/6 hrs
We will go through beautiful rhododendron forest which will lead us to the Barun River. The first couple of hours, the trail will be steep and rugged so we have to be careful while walking. We will take a small break to have lunch. We will then ascend gradually with superb views of mountains and surrounding. We finally reach Yangle Kharka located at the base of the valley where we will stop for the night.
Day 08Yangla Kharka (3557 m) - Langmale Kharka (4410 m) 4 hrs
We will begin trekking through yak pastures and a dense forest. The trail will be rocky, and on the way, we will go through small villages. We will reach Merek village, and as we move further towards Langmale Kharka, we will see brilliant Himalayan views. We will stay overnight in Langmale Kharka.
